2020 Results

Ride 4 Dray 2020, was started as an answer to a question I had kept asking myself for several months: "What could I do?"

What could I do to help children like my grandson Dray, who was battling an insidious brain tumor, wreaking havoc on his body, and creating unimaginable heartache and sense of helplessness to his family. 

 

In the summer of 2020, I combined my passion for riding a Harley-Davidson with my vast network of relationships, and embarked on a sixty-day, 11,000-mile journey across the eastern United States, with the mission to raise awareness and raise funds for the fight against childhood cancer. 

 

I crisscrossed the eastern USA during the height of the COVID-19, experiencing first-hand the variety of ways each city and state regulated social interactions at hospitals, businesses, restaurants and hotels. That experience alone was an eye opener - a story for another time.

 

Together with the help my RSM colleagues, family and dear friends, we exceeded all expectations.

 

 I left Peoria, IL, on Sunday August 2, 2020, and returned sixty days later on Wednesday September 30, 2020, I returned home with the following milestones achieved:

·        11,232 miles traveled

·        34 states covered

·        11 children's hospitals visited

·        60 RSM offices visited

·        16 client offices visited ​​

·        $188,911 of donations received
